1878 Established as The 105th National Chartered Bank.
1879 Commenced banking business.
1897 Name changed to The Hyakugo Bank, Ltd.
1924 Head Office relocated to Marunouchi, Tsu City.
1951 Authorized to handle foreign exchange business.
1968 Head Office relocated to Iyomachi, Tsu City.
1973 Stock listed on Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchange.
1978 Celebrated the Bank's 100th anniversary.
1981 Started overseas correspondent banking.
1985 Authorized to trade public bonds.
1988 Opened New York Representative Office.
1991 Opened New York Branch and Singapore Representative Office.
1998 Started sales of investment funds.
1999 Reassigned the status of the New York Branch to a representative office.
Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
2001 Started sales of individual pension insurance.
Started Internet Mobile Banking Service.
2003 Opened Shanghai Representative Office.
