Through personnel system reforms and various training and self-development programs, we are creating a system to help individual employees develop specialized skills.
 
We believe that improving the knowledge and skills of all the Bank’s employees is essential to enhancing their ability to offer various types of consultation. That is why we have devoted efforts to helping employees become qualified financial planners. As of the end of March 2007, 1,767 employees had obtained this qualification. In addition, we promote motivated employees through an in-house staff recruitment system.
 
At Hyakugo Bank, part-time employees are called “Assist Staff” and are considered important partners in executing the Bank’s business. To further increase the capabilities of the Assist Staff, Hyakugo Staff Service Company Limited promotes consistency in hiring, education and training.
 
In addition, the President keeps in touch with employees by periodically visiting branches to hold “communication meetings,” where he listens to the views of employees.

Hyakugo Bank Commended by Mie Prefecture Governor for Workplace Vitality
In the fiscal year ended March 2006, Hyakugo Bank received an award from the governor of Mie Prefecture as a “Company where Men and Women Work with Vitality.” This award recognizes Hyakugo Bank for its work environment that enables both men and women to fully exercise their respective strengths, as well as the Bank’s various systems and programs such as its system for promoting motivated employees.
