Loan Products for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
To meet the diverse funding needs of small and medium-sized companies and individual business owners, Hyakugo Bank offers Quick Power 105, an unsecured loan that enables applicants to receive a response on the same day they apply or soon thereafter, and requires no third-party guarantor. We also actively support funding needs of customers in the region by offering fixed-interest loans and loans backed by a credit guarantee corporation.

International Business Support
Hyakugo Bank is responding to the needs of its customers by strengthening its support system for trade and market entry focused on China and the ASEAN region. This effort is supported by cooperation with the Shanghai Representative Office and Singapore Representative Office.

Japanese companies are rapidly establishing or expanding operations in China, and we strongly support their business development there.

•Signing of Renminbi Loan Guarantee Contracts
Since October 2002, Hyakugo Bank has been conducting a business tie-up with the Bank of China, based in Beijing, to provide renminbi loans. This system makes it easier for our customers operating in China to raise renminbi funds locally.

•Start of Consulting Business for Establishing China Subsidiaries
In April 2005, Hyakugo Bank began a consulting business for customers who want to establish subsidiaries in China, in order to provide positive support for their entry into the Chinese market.

•Thailand & Vietnam Investment Seminar
Hyakugo Bank held a Thailand & Vietnam Investment Seminar in July 2005 as part of its support for overseas strategies geared to client needs related to Southeast Asia.

•A Regional Bank First: Business Seminar Held in Shanghai by Three Banks
In November 2005, a Shanghai Business Seminar, the first by regional banks, was held jointly by three regional banks from the three prefectures of the Tokai region, including Hyakugo Bank. This exemplifies Hyakugo Bank’s efforts to meet the needs of customers operating in China, including matching them with local suppliers.

Mergers and Acquisitions
Hyakugo Bank provides active support for mergers and acquisitions, with the aim of contributing to communities by helping local companies grow further, solve inheritance problems and revitalize their business. We are implementing the Chubu Finance M&A Network, a regional economic revitalization project, jointly with two other regional banks to support the M&A needs of corporate customers.

PFI Business
The Private Finance Initiative (PFI) represents a novel business approach that uses private sector financing and expertise in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of public facilities. Since enactment of the PFI law, national and local government entities have launched many specific PFI business studies, and Hyakugo Bank is participating in numerous PFI projects, including the Kuwana City Public Library Complex Special Project and the Yokkaichi City Elementary and Middle School Facilities Improvement Project. Hyakugo Bank meets new customer needs by holding study and research meetings as well as providing financial advice and arranging funding for PFI projects.

Business Strategies for Individual Customers

Loan Products for Individuals
Hyakugo Bank handles a variety of loan products tailored to the diverse needs of individual customers. We offer the Hyakugo Car Loan kurumade Go!, which can be applied for by phone, fax or the Internet, and the Hyakugo Kyokudo Student Loan, which can be used not only for education-related expenses such as admissions fees and tuition for students at the high school level and above up to ¥5 million, but also for allowances and other incidental expenses. We also provide the Hyakugo Home Loan Platinum Plan, which offers favorable terms to customers who designate Hyakugo Bank for salary transfers.

Meeting Asset Management Needs
Hyakugo Bank has been handling over-the-counter sales of individual pension insurance since October 2002. Combined with defined contribution pension plans, this enables us to help customers prepare financially for later life. As of the end of March 2006, we had concluded 22,810 contracts worth a total of ¥49,800 million. In addition, we are actively responding to customers’ wide-ranging asset-management needs. For example, we offer a new foreign-currency time deposit with a foreign exchange contract that mitigates the risk of appreciation of the yen. Other products include the Tokai 3 Prefecture Fund, a regional bank investment trust developed mainly by Hyakugo Bank that invests in stocks of companies with headquarters in the three prefectures of the Tokai region. Hyakugo Bank will continue working to offer its customers comprehensive financial services.
